My Story
I was scouted for modeling nine years ago and traveled to Asia, Europe, and New York City for runway modeling. While this was an amazing experience that I am so grateful for, the modeling industry did have a negative impact on my relationship with food. Studying nutrition was one of the best things I did for myself. I learned in depth the science of our incredible bodies and the nutrients they are required to function optimally. This completely changed my perspective on food and nourishing my body.
The changes I made (optimizing my nutrition, therapeutic supplementation, and lifestyle changes, specifically supporting my hormones) completely changed my life. The quote, “Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel,” really resonates with me. Once I made these changes, I felt like a new person. I went from needing three coffees a day to never having an afternoon energy crash. My skin cleared up, my digestion improved (no more bloating), and my menstrual cycle was no longer irregular.
Many women struggle with their relationship with food and I know how that feels first hand. I love working with women and empowering them with the knowledge I’ve learned. I do not focus on weight loss in my practice. I encourage my clients to prioritize working on the inside and focusing on how they feel. Working internally almost always presents the desired outside results.
What is Holistic Nutrition?
Every individual is unique, and lifestyle, health conditions, diet, and mental health should always be taken into consideration when working on a nutrition/ lifestyle plan. A Holistic Nutritionist takes all of these aspects into account and gets to know their client on a deeper level. There are so many factors and lifestyle changes that can affect and improve health. Conventional medicine often uses a band-aid approach by covering up symptoms with medication. A Holistic Nutritionist dives deeper and uncovers the root cause of adverse symptoms. They use nutrition, natural health supplements, and lifestyle changes and coach their clients to make changes.
